Wear goggles.
Take pliers and squeeze the stone to break it. If it shatters like glass into chunks, that’s good, and you can use Gravel-Lok®.
If it pulverizes and creates a chalk-like dust, this is not good. Gravel-Lok® should not be used with this stone.
