The durability is the same but Clear and Amber are two different formulas.
CLEAR has UV additives, it will not affect the color of stone, and results in a shiny, wet look.
AMBER will alter the color of light or white colored stones, and generally has a matte look. If stones are light, the amber color may intensify over time and fade off to reveal the natural surface color of each stone.
Amber is considerably less expensive than the Clear formula.
